Media Opportunities

Cattlemen’s Congress is requesting that interested photography companies submit a proposal to serve as the official livestock photographer for the 2025 Cattlemen’s Congress. Contracts will be for a 3 year term.

2025 Cattlemen’s Congress – January 4-16
2026 Cattlemen’s Congress – January 4-15 *Tenative
2027 Cattlemen’s Congress – January 3-14 *Tenative

Requirements:
– Capture Official Backdrop Photos at each Backdrop. 3 Total Backdrops

– Candid Ringshots of each show. Supreme Drive, American Supreme Drive and Sale candids must be captured.

– Capture Around the Barn style photos

– Capture Judging Contest Candids and Contest Awards Presentation

– Photography company must provide images and results to acreddited publications for use in their magazines.

– Photography company must provide Cattlemen’s Congress staff full, free access all photos captured at Cattlemen’s Congress to use for marketing purposes.

– Photography company must provide champion ringshot photos to Cattlemen’s Congress staff within 24 hours of each breed show for Cattlemen’s Congress to post result graphics. A complete list will be provided prior to the show.

Cattlemen’s Congress Coverage and Media Policy

Qualified Media
Cattlemen’s Congress Media Credentials are issued to broadcast, print and internet media assigned to cover the Cattlemen’s Congress. Requests must be submitted by the assigning authority at the media outlet (editor, news director, broadcast producer, etc). Credentials will be issued to authorized personnel, employed by the media outlet for the purpose of providing timely news coverage of the Cattlemen’s Congress. Employment verification may be requested (business card, photo ID, name on website).

 

Freelance Journalists
Freelance journalists are required to submit an assignment letter from the general manager, editor or news director, on official letterhead of the media outlet, and will only receive media credentials if on assignment. Production companies are required to submit a letter from their broadcast organization providing details of the editorial coverage and footage required. Media credentials for freelance photographers without assignment will not be granted.

 

Online/Social Media
Online/social media will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Only media with active news websites qualify for credential consideration. The website must post original, dated and industry related news on a regular basis. Social media without supporting news website will not be considered.

 

Photography
— Commercial use of photographs, video and film taken at the Cattlemen’s Congress is strictly prohibited without full written consent of the Cattlemen’s Congress Media department.
— The sale of photographs taken at Cattlemen’s Congress is strictly prohibited.
— Logoed photographs are strictly prohibited. Shooting images and placing a photographers logo on any images taken at Cattlemen’s Congress is strictly forbidden.

 

Media Credential Access
A Cattlemen’s Congress Media Credential provides media access to grounds events, activities and events in approved areas. The Cattlemen’s Congress Media Credential does not allow showring access.

 

If you require specific access to an area on a select occasion, please contact JD Rosman at jd@okyouthexpo.org Submitting a credential request form does not guarantee media access. All requests are processed and applying media will be notified. Credentials are not transferable and the Cattlemen’s Congress reserves the right to cancel accreditation at any time.

 

Photographs, video, audio or other depictions of Cattlemen’s Congress activities/events must be used for the accredited media stated on the Cattlemen’s Congress media credential form.
