Jennifer Callahan and Tyler Norvell to serve on Cattlemen’s Congress Board of Directors to ensure a bright future.
The Cattlemen’s Congress Board of Directors proudly announces the appointment of Jennifer Callahan as the new Secretary/Treasurer and Tyler Norvell as the Chairman of the Board. These esteemed appointments come at a pivotal moment as the organization continues its legacy of promoting and advancing the cattle industry.
Jennifer Callahan, a dedicated advocate for the agricultural sector, brings a wealth of experience to her new position. A long-time supporter of the industry, she has been actively involved in Callahan Cattle Company since its inception. Jennifer serves as a Shareholder and Director at McAfee & Taft law firm, specializing in executive compensation and business planning. Her legal expertise has been instrumental in navigating complex issues, including the establishment of Cattlemen’s Congress, and addressing legal concerns during the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2020, Jennifer received the prestigious Diamond Hats’ Ag Woman of the Year award for her unwavering commitment to the Oklahoma Youth Expo. Her dedication played a pivotal role in ensuring the continuity of the expo, benefitting countless Oklahoma 4-H and FFA exhibitors. Jennifer’s leadership and legal counsel have been crucial in making Cattlemen’s Congress an exhibitor-friendly event that continues to thrive.
Expressing her thoughts for the new role, Jennifer stated, “Our commitment to helping lead Cattlemen’s Congress forward for years to come is unwavering. Jarold believed in the importance of continuing commerce for cattlemen and women, which is why we all stepped up the first year in 2021. It is why we are still here today. I see this show remaining focused on being responsive to the needs of exhibitors and the industry as Cattlemen’s Congress continues to serve an important role in the purebred beef cattle business because we are put on for cattlemen, by cattlemen.
Tyler Norvell, the newly appointed Chairman of the Board, shared his confidence in the organization’s future. “I am honored to serve as the chairman of this great organization. Jarold left big shoes to be filled, but with the group of visionaries we have on the board and our talented staff, I am confident that Cattlemen’s Congress will be here 100 years from now.”
Recognizing Jennifer’s invaluable contributions, Tyler added, “Jennifer’s love for Cattlemen’s Congress and the agricultural industry truly runs deep. She’s passionately involved, has a unique perspective on how to best serve the exhibitors and find what is best for our organization, and I’m honored to get to work with her. Her experience as a top-tier lawyer brings a great perspective to the table, and we are grateful for her knowledge.”
